This week's Tao of Organizing installment is to Keep It Simple, Stupid. This is a phrase I often repeat to myself (so much for the "Positive Affirmation" trend!). As a classic ENTP, I begin projects with lots of energy and often unrealistic goals for myself. Over the years I've learned to catch myself and keep my eye on a realistic, manageable prize.
Example: If the goal is to organize your desk, group your writing implements together; don't waste time grouping pencils with pencils or pens with pens. It's easier to start with broader categories when grouping like items together, then expand as you see fit.
