Organized Laundry: You're With Me, Leather!

I feel confident enough to at least try a cursory homemade stain removal on wood or fabric, but leather scares me! This seems counter-intuitive since it's street cred is pretty 'tough"' (motor cycle jackets, cowboy boots, saddles).
