I am a firm believer that an hour of decluterring will beat any expensive closet organizer on the market. Nothing saves room like elbow grease and getting rid of clothes you no longer use, by there are some basics I approve of, and these are the ones I use in my own closet, like a double hang, shelf dividers and a narrow hamper:
