It sounds like you’re saying to save all of the mail for the week and just open it on one day?
I prefer to open my mail every day, but I do it next to the recycle bin as you suggest. Most of the paper goes in there. I put actionable items into an expandable file (one folder for “this week” and one for “this month”) and scan what’s important to keep with my iPhone. I email the scans to my AboutOne account and throw away the originals.
