Your credit cards shut off, passport sold to the highest bidder, bank account emptied, even your sacred Facebook profile can be hacked and commandeered by a nefarious identity thief. This week I talked to Jay Foley, executive director of the Identity Theft Resource Center, about the simple steps you can take to protect yourself by managing your mail and paper clutter more thoroughly.
