As a professional organizer, I recently conducted a workshop on how to organize your dorm room and I totally agree on going vertical. There are great products out there from bins to crates that stack and store everything and are great for utilizing the space above your desk, dresser and closet! I am also a big fan of vertical hangers. Go 3 hangers long and you will be amazed by what you can fit into your closet and how great it will look. Also, storing shoes in a bin under your bed is a fantastic way to keep the clutter off your floor!
And make sure you buy the command three hooks in a variety of weight limits to organize everything from your keys to bags to towels!

Hi Kristin, What do you recommend for the space above your desk? I’d think shelving would be a good option here. Anything else? Elizabeth
