Pro Tips: How to form a good habit

Kent Bookcase two from Pottery BarnHow long does it take to form a new habit?  Several experts say 30 days, my coworker Mike just read somewhere that it takes exactly 66... but that is not entirely true.  If you're working on accomplishing your 2013 resolutions (read part 1 and then part 2), forming good habits is crucial to sticking to your goals.

For advice on making goals-into-routines, and how to turn tasks into habits, I turned to Dr. Heidi Grant Halvorson, a leading expert in motivational science, and we discussed how to stick to your new routine and how long before it becomes a habit.
