Follow me on:

Sharpie for ChecklistsI love checklists for their ability to help us focus on the task at hand, and to minimize distractions. It's harder to get sidetracked with a list (although I can assure you I still manage to do it!). Here are my handy checklists to use for Spring Cleaning, and why they're important.

  1. Where to Begin Organizing Your Home
So you know which rooms to hit, first, second, third and beyond.
  2. How to Recycle Everything
For when you decide to get rid of those old computers and electronic equipment that have been sitting around for ages.
  3. Where to Donate Everything
Clothes, old furniture, electronics, books - these places can all have a second life through donation.
  4. How to Store Everything
Make a space for every item you decide to keep through proper storage.
  5. How Long to Keep Everything
Find out the expiration dates of everything in your home, from sneakers to food.
  6. Declutter Your Home in 20 Minutes a Day
Start fresh with the Weekly Organizing Routine, where we take a spin around your home focusing on each room for 20 minutes a day.

Let's get social! Stay connected & don't miss an organizing post or tip...

Sadly, as much as I would love to read all you have to say, your web site is terribly disorganized. Which is rather ironic, don’t you think? In order to follow a thought, I have to keep going to different pages until I’ve completely lost the original thought because I’m chasing down new ones.

I’m so sorry you find the navigation confusing. I do my best to work within the About.com navigation — I hear you!

I agree. This isn’t what I thought it would be when I signed up for it. I don’t want to have to go back and forth between links just to find a hint or good idea. Also, I really don’t care how (name a celebrity) declutters her house. If you are the expert then I want to hear what you say.

I’m sorry you don’t find the content helpful. A peek inside a celebrity closet or kitchen is actually one of the most popular features on this site, but I understand my content is not always going to please everyone.
