Although finding "me" time amidst juggling our day to day activities can be a struggle, it is important to schedule time for yourself. Just as you would schedule an appointment or important event, you can easily schedule an appointment for personal time.

By setting aside only 15-30 minutes a day of uninterrupted time, either in the morning or evening, it gives you an opportunity to de-stress and unwind. A helpful tip is to stick to your personal appointment is to schedule the time in your daily planner or personal organizer.

The key is to use your personal time to participate in an activity that encourages relaxation:

  • Reading your favorite book or magazine
  • Listening to music
  • Journal writing
  • Take a bath
  • Meditate
  • View a photo album
  • Personal pedicure or manicure
  • Prepare your favorite snack

You can customize your activity to your liking providing that it is healthy and helps you to unwind.
