Utilize Payment Options

In addition to making a payment by check, most companies offer an online payment or automatic payment option:
  • Check Payments:This is the most common payment option and while it does work well, you run the risk of the company receiving your bill late, or getting lost in the mail. In addition, you are paying the postage for that mailed check, and depending on the number of checks you mail, it can add up!
  • Online Payments: It is convenient to pay a bill without leaving the comfort of your home and receive a payment confirmation that can be saved for your records. Keep in mind that some companies charge a service fee for on-line payments, and you always run a security risk of making on-line payments.
  • Automatic Payments: This option is convenient because you are assured that the payment is being deducted from your account on a set day every month. Just remember to record this withdrawal amount from your bank account to keep it up-to-date, and prevent any overdrafts.
