In order to accomplish this, we must think outside the box and not be so insistent on using particular furniture pieces strictly for its intended use:
- An Armoire: Utilize the shelves or drawers for toiletries, cleaning supplies, linens, movies, music, books, stationary, office supplies, exercise equipment, photo albums, jewelry box, perfume/cologne or displaying precious mementos.
- A Nightstand: Utilize the drawers or shelves for your computer (laptop can fit in a decent sized drawer), books, financial or personal documents, checkbook, receipts, planner or camera.
- Your Bedroom Closet: Use the floor in your bedroom closet for something other than throwing your clothes in a pile (Yes! you know you have been guilty of this at some point). Keep a file box on the floor filled with your important documents. It will help to keep your personal files private, and all in one place.
- Chests : While a chest can be used for most anything, how about storing extra bathroom supplies? Sometimes our homes don't have the proper linen closet storage, and a chest would be the perfect alternative.
