For my jewelry box, I use a decorative box that was given to me by my grandmother. I love it for the significance, and because it allows me to place a photo on the front of the box, and there is ample storage space inside. It
was working great until the last couple days when it took me a considerable amount of time to retrieve a piece of jewelry which was entangled in three other pieces of jewelry. It quickly occurred to me that my organizational system was totally lacking. I wanted to get it organized without spending any money, or very little. I knew immediately what would do the job:
Supplies:
- Paper Cup (the little ones)
- Scissors
Directions:
- Cut the top of the paper cup off, and place in box. The perfect height will be achieved when you can close the top of the box tightly.
- Place the paper cups in the box, allowing for some empty space to lay necklaces and bracelets flat.
- Designate paper cups to the appropriate jewelry. For example, I used 1 for small earrings/toe rings, 1 for beaded/jeweled bearings, and 1 for hoops.
You are done! In less then 2 minutes. Wasnt that simple? And, it looks nice too! Remember,
effective organization doesnt have to require a lot of time or money!
