While holiday decorating is usually a fun time, storing and finding our decorations isn't always that fun, especially when things are disorganized. Therefore, whether you have only a few decorations or many, keeping them organized can be a simple task by following a few easy tips:
  • Use heavy duty plastic containers or file boxes to store decorations.
  • Store like items in separate boxes: decorations, ornaments, accessories and party supplies.
  • Label the containers according to its contents.
  • Keep containers stored in an easily accessible place. The far left or right of closets can work well.
  • Store lights by loosely wrapping the wire around an empty gift wrap tube.

Tip From DYMO®, a leader in organizational solutions:
"Post-season, keep ornaments safe by wrapping them in bubble wrap and storing them in heavy-duty plastic containers to help keep them from breaking or chipping while in storage. Line the container with bubble wrap for additional protection and label the container as “Fragile” and “This Side Up" to prevent accidents." - Jennifer Humes, aka the Clutter Queen.
