Whether you are an organizing beginner or expert, re-organizing your organizing system can be very beneficial. Often times our original system can prove to be ineffective. For example, I have re-organized my desk at work about 5 times within a couple months because every system has not proved to be as efficient as I need it to be. Some of the changes have been as minor as switching from stackable letter trays to file racks. As a result, I created more usable desk space.

Sometimes your organizing systems no longer accommodates your supplies. For example, if you are an avid book collector, your collection might grow larger than the storage that holds them, and in that case you would need to consider re-organizing your system to accommodate your collection better.

Unfortunately, many people think that if their organizing system doesn't work than they aren't destined to be organized and as a result, they give up. The truth is, the key to getting organized is to attempt different strategies until you find the one that works the most efficiently for you.
