Sometimes on our quest to get organized we can tackle too much at once. As a result, we can get overwhelmed and give up. If this should happen to you, the quickest way to get back on organizational track is to take a small step. More specifically, organize something small, like your wallet for example. Follow these steps:
  • Remove receipts
  • Remove expired cards
  • Toss expired coupons
  • Separate your change from your bills
  • Organize your bills (highest to lowest or vice versa)

Security Tip: If you toss any receipts or cards, make sure you shred or cut up any that contain personal information.

Congratulate yourself for accomplishing that organizational task, take a deep breath, have a glass of water and then you are ready to resume your original organizing task.

By taking a mini small organization break when you feel like the big task has been doomed, it will restore your faith and motivation and, get you back on track.
